Grief and Loss
Grief is a natural response to loss, whether it's the death of a loved one, a broken relationship, or another significant change. While it can feel overwhelming, God offers comfort, peace, and hope during times of sorrow.
- Psalm 34:18 (NIV): "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
- Matthew 5:4 (NIV): "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
- Revelation 21:4 (NIV): "‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Grief can feel like a heavy burden, but you don’t have to carry it alone. God is near to the brokenhearted and offers healing over time. Lean on His strength, and allow His Word and His presence to bring peace to your heart.
- Allow Yourself to Grieve: It’s okay to feel pain and express your emotions.
- Pray Honestly: Share your heartache with God and ask for His comfort.
- Seek Support: Reach out to trusted friends, family, or a grief group for encouragement.
- Remember Your Loved Ones: Celebrate the memories of those you’ve lost, cherishing their impact on your life.
- Cling to Hope: Meditate on Scriptures that remind you of the hope we have in Jesus.
